The Legend of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds

The film 'The Legend of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds' is an attempt to capture the same thrills and chills as a certain iconic blockbuster, 'Jaws'. While it may have borrowed some ideas from its predecessor, this movie fails to deliver on several fronts. The acting is subpar, and the atmosphere is lacking in tension.

The story begins with a promising premise: two duelists engage in an unimpressive battle that left me lowering my initial score. However, things take a turn for the better when a dinosaur makes its appearance, chomping down a few people before the bird of the title, a monster bird, swoops in and steals the show.

As the story unfolds, strange incidents begin to occur, including a horse with its head bitten off. The film's focus then shifts to a man who sets out to explore an area near Mount Fuji where rumors of a petrified egg have been circulating. It takes some time for the beast to be revealed, but when it does, it is finally shown killing a couple of pranksters who got what was coming to them.

Unfortunately, this movie's pacing is its biggest downfall. The slow-moving plot makes it difficult to stay engaged and invested in the story. The mysterious killings on the lake follow a familiar 'Jaws' formula for the first part of the film, but the slow burn ultimately leads to a fizzling conclusion.

While 'The Legend of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds' had potential, its poor execution and lack of excitement make it hard to recommend. Fans of monster movies may find some enjoyment in this flick, but those looking for a thrilling ride will likely be disappointed.
